Participating Artists from Different Countries Are Heading to SITFY

36 countries from all over the world take part in the sixth edition of Sharm El-Sheikh International Theater Festival for Youth (SITFY). The opening ceremony is be held tomorrow at Sharm El-Sheikh Culture Palace. Sharm El-Sheikh hosts multiple Arab and international artists and delegations participating in the sixth edition of SITFY, under the supervision of SITFY’s founder and chairman, actor and director Mazen El-Gharabawy. El-Gharabawy and Dr. Ingy El-Bestawy -SITFY’s managing director- have greeted the festival’s guests at their arrival; from the moment they arrived at Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport. The first group of guests includes: director and chirographer Kaku Moto Atsushi (Japan) -member of the Ensemble Production competition jury-, Dr. Sami Al-Jamaan (Saudi Arabia), star Amal Al-Dabbas (Jordan), artist Ali Alyan (Jordan), artist Hussein Tabishat, Alaa Al-Majali, and “Safiya” play’s team. Additionally, the Ukrainian, Saudi, Jordanian, and Omani delegations arrived at SITFY. SITFY’s opening ceremony is to be held tomorrow, Saturday, at Sharm El-Sheikh Culture Palace’s theater. 36 countries from different continents of the world participate in the festival’s events. Some countries will present theatrical performances. For instance, the opening show is from Italy. Artistic figures from other countries are to be honored. Artists from other countries are to participate in various workshops; for example, Greek artist, Pavlos Kavors will take part in the Musical Theater and Performing Arts Workshop. During the sixth edition, SITFY will honor 9 Egyptian, Arab and international theatrical figures. As an illustration, Lady of Arab Theater, iconic actress Samiha Ayoub (Egypt) will be honored in the opening ceremony. The list of honorees includes: Daoud Hussein (Kuwait), Mohammad Saif Al-Afkham (UAE) -as the Arab theatrical figure-, Marc Besson (Belgium) -as the international theatrical figure-. Most notably, iconic actress, Samiha Ayoub is SITFY’s honorary president and veteran actor, Mohammad Sobhi is the president of SITFY’s Higher Committee. SITFY is held under the sponsorship of the Minister of Culture, Dr. Ines Abdeldayem and South Sinai Governor, Major-General Khaled Fouda. The sixth edition is scheduled to take place between 6 and 11 November in Sharm El-Sheikh.
