Director of Cervantes Institute Meets El-Gharabawy for Artistic Cooperation

The Director of the Cervantes Institute, Luis Javier Ruiz Sierra, met SITFY’s founder and chairman, Egyptian actor and director, Mazen El-Gharabawy at the Institute’s headquarters in Cairo to explore avenues of cooperation and share cultural activities between SITFY and the Cervantes Institute. The Cervantes Institute is regarded as one of the most influential and well-known cultural institutes worldwide. During the meeting, the participants discussed the details of Spain’s participation in the sixth edition of SITFY. Additionally, the participants tackled the idea of establishing a special day for Spain throughout SITFY’s events, in order to initiate the cooperation between the festival and the Cervantes Institute. Most notably, SITFY is scheduled to take place between 6 and 11, November, 2021 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, under the supervision of SITFY’s founder and chairman, Mazen El-Gharabawy.


Furthermore, SITFY is held under the sponsorship of the Minister of Culture, Dr. Ines Abdeldayem, and South Sinai Governor, Major-General Khaled Fouda. Veteran Egyptian actress Samiha Ayoub is SITFY’s honorary president and veteran Egyptian actor Mohammad Sobhy is president of SITFY’s higher committee.
