Sharm El-Sheikh International Theater Festival for Youth (SITFY) Launches a Competition for Designing a Poster for the Fifth Edition
SITFY, under the supervision of Egyptian actor Mazen El-Gharabawy –SITFY’s President-, launches a competition for designing a poster for SITFY’s fifth edition which is to be held from April 1 to April 7, 2020.
The new poster should include the main subjects of the festival: culture, youth, and tourism, while maintaining the spirit of South Sinai Governorate. The winner will receive a prize of 1000 EGP. Most notably, both renewal and originality should be taken into consideration. Additionally, the new poster should lay emphasis on the youth theatre event which will be held in Sharm El-Sheikh “the land of peace”. The designer should be flexible; the new poster should be applicable to different sizes, details, and colors in order to be eye-catching. The poster should be vertical and should not be less than 300 DPI. Each competitor can present not more than three designs.
The terms and conditions of participating in the competition include: submitting designs before November 25, 2019 via CDs, in addition to attaching colored papers on rehearsals -at least 28 cm wide- to the festival’s headquarters (6 Port Said St., off Alouba St., Madkour Station -next to Dary- Haram – Giza).
The competitor should -in person- submit his design, in addition to submitting a personal photo and ID. The competitor should sign a declaration that the design he presents is his own; it is not copied, and submit a 70-word CV. Any design that does not meet the previously-mentioned terms and conditions shall not be accepted.
Most notably, the Egyptian veteran actress, Samiha Ayoub, has been appointed as the honorary president of SITFY, the veteran actor, Mohamed Sobhi, the head of the higher committee of SITFY, and Egyptian actor Tarek Sabri, the Executive Director of SITFY. SITFY is managed by Dr. Ingy El-Bestawy, under the sponsorship of the Minister of Culture, Dr. Ines Abdel-Dayem, Southern Sinai Governor, General Khaled Fouda, Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Tourism, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, and Chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board, engineer Ahmed Youssef.
